Like most of us, I have been writing for my entire life, but I have been writing professionally in various forms for over 20 years, including crafting words for documentaries, commercials, promos, blog posts, and most recently in the writing of my memoir, Prairie Man: My Little House Life & Beyond.

For me writing is done on the computer. Through the years, I'm sad to say, my handwriting has become increasingly illegible. Since buying my first Apple Computer in 1984 the keyboard has been my tool of choice to express myself with the written word. Everything begins with a blank screen. I just start writing and revising as I allow my thoughts, and my fingers, to carry me forward to an eventual conclusion.

Since meeting Michael Landon in 1979 and working with him for five seasons on Little House questions about him and what we all did together have dominated my public interactions with people of all ages. The power of television keeps those our creative interactions fresh in the minds of viewers so of course they want to know about the work and about him. My answers have evolved through the years, but I hope I always communicate the respect and admiration I have for the depth of him humanity, and his talents as an actor, director, writer, and producer. He was extraordinary.There will be much more about Michael in Prairie Man.
